Circuit Bending Workshop hosted by Jeremy Edwards
Circuit bending is the creative exploration and modification of circuitry in electronic toys, instruments, and synthesizers, to create new sounds that the original equipment couldn’t have produced.
Interested in exploring the art of Circuit Bending, but not sure where to start? Join the Audio Engineering Society Student Section @ the University of Michigan in presenting a Circuit Bending Workshop on Sunday, April 7th at 12 noon in the Duderstadt Center Design Lab 1.
School of Music Multimedia Specialist and circuit bender Jeremy Edwards will start the workshop with a short introduction, followed by hands-on bending. No experience or materials are required – AES will provide some great toys, electronic parts, and instruction for you to try to create new sounds for your musical projects, live performances, or anything else you might be working on. There will also be free food to snack on while you’re experimenting.
